Luke Sheppard - object conservator

Luke Sheppard is an expert in wood and polychrome restoration and conservation who began his conservation career in Italy as an apprentice furniture restorer.

Luke started his training in the conservation of wood and polychrome objects at Italy's ENAIP Botticino Scuola Regionale per I Beni Culturali. Whilst in Italy he worked, both at his college and on site, with devotional objects belonging to the Catholic Church and other structural and decorative wooden objects. He completed his studies in conservation in June 2008 and moved to London to work with a senior frame conservator on projects for various public institutions. In June 2009, he moved back to New Zealand to join Studio Carolina Izzo.

Luke is a Politics graduate from Victoria University, Wellington, New Zealand.
